The missing Man Table

VVA CHAPTER #1086 welcomes all our brothers and sisters who served in Vietnam between February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in any duty location between August 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975. Joining VVA allows you to connect with other veterans and stay up with the latest on special events. You’ll also receive a FREE subscription to our award-winning newspaper, The VVA Veteran.

We meet for breakfast every Wed. morning at  7 A.M.  at Glady's Resaurant on Park Street.  It's very informal but we all meet someone who has gone thru the same things as us. Come on by and meet some of the guys.

We also have a dinner meeting the 1st Thurs. of every month at Cowboys. You can come in the side door to the meeting room.  If you can't find it, come in the front and one of the hosts will direct you.

The VVA Chapter 1086 Okeechobee is dedicated to helping Vietnam Veterans but we welcome Veterans from all conflicts.  Come and join us.  Learn about other chapters and our National and State. chapters.  

As you can see, this site is under construction and I believe it will be for quite some time as things are always changing and there are lots of things to keep updated.

Even though we are a small Chapter, we pride ourselves in being a most caring and helpful one.

We give 3 scholorships to 3 outstanding students from Okeechobee High School.  

We participate in many of the local events in Okeechobee and the surounding area. We always support Veterans' Day, Memorial Day and all other functions concerning Veterans our community.  With so many of us, you can rest assured that one of us has experienced some of the same things others have.  Just another reason to come by and see us. 

We raffle off a Golden Boy commemorative engraved Henry Rifle most years and it is a nice one.   

This year we also raffled off a hand stitched Quilt of Valor pictured below.

 We also support and participate in the Seminole events and meet on a regular basis with Mark McCabe and Elaine Westermeyer at the Reservation for those who need help with their claim.
